The fruit is delicious for dessert, sweet and best taken cold. The infusion of the leaves has been used in the fight against diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis, is also an aphrodisiac fruit since when consumed then awakens the sexual appetite.
The fruit is round, measuring about 8cm in diameter, is initially light green but turns dark purple when ripe in this variety abode. The bark is thick, elastic but not edible. Pulp, forming multiple lobes fill a cavity within the cortex is white or slightly translucent. When cut in half, seeds and pulp is star-shaped starts from the center. Seeds are flattened brown color, usually from 3 to 10 and are surrounded by a rubber layer, which adheres to the cover but not to the surrounding pulp.
