Bowen is the most important cultivar in Australia, to the extent that there has been largely excluded all other varieties. The fruit is oval, with a smooth, slightly waxed. The color is yellow with a shade of red on the shoulders in the sun. Its weight is 400 to 600 grams. The flesh is soft lemon yellow, juicy, without fiber completely. It tastes sweet, aromatic and characteristic. Within Australia, the "flavor Bowen" is desired and there is a dependency of consumers to this cultivar. This mango is exported from Australia to markets in Asia, but not commonly found in Europe or America.
Its flavor is a tasty blend of peach, banana and sweet grapefruit.
